Humans are easy. That’s why we are able to do what we do as prehospital providers. But what happens when your patient is a canine? These working dogs are highly regarded by their handlers and require care just like anyone else that may be ill or injured. Considering that, are you equipped to care for them? George Tarver III has over 34 years of experience as a paramedic. He currently works full-time as a Flight/Tactical Paramedic for Memorial Hermann LifeFlight. Also he’s been a sworn Police Officer since 1994 serving in various capacities including Patrol, Gang, Narcotics and SWAT. He’s currently an Instructor and Adjunct Faculty for BLS, ACLS, PALS, AAIR, TCCC, TECC, TECC-LEO, PHTLS, AMLS EPC, TCOLE, K9-CCC and ATLS Coordinator.
Throughout his service he has earned numerous honors and awards for public service education and patient care. George is a gifted speaker he’s able to cover intricate medical and law enforcement topics in a way that’s captivating and rational.
